Tungurahua Volcano Geopark | Geoconservation, Geoeducation and Geotourism
Emblematic proposal focused on locally based Geoconservation, Geoeducation and Geotourism.
Located on the slopes of the Tungurahua volcano, it is a formation composed of lava flows, lahars and prehistoric volcanic deposits. Its name is due to the silhouette that the sunlight forms when crossing the ghostly rock walls of the Quebrada El Tambo, whose waters feed into the majestic Puela River.
